About Lisa
Professional Experience
I spent 30 years at Ontario Power Generation and was humbled to be an elected representative for the Power Worker’s Union where I bargained 4 Collective Agreements on behalf of our members. I was proud to supervise 150 employees to fulfill their roles and responsibilities and was a certified facilitator under the Trade Up Program, encouraging young people to think about Trades. What’s more, as a member of our EFAP (Employee Family Assistance Program), I spent years trying to improve the level of care our members and their families received.
Upon retirement, I entered the private sector as a Franchise Owner of Expedia which has taught me a lot about the ups and downs of business ownership, most especially through these last two years. I hope to bring all of this experience to Council in an effort to serve you.
Passionate About Community:
Proud Supporter of Wounded Warriors Canada and the issues impacting our ill and injured Veterans, First Responders and their families.
Native Circle Committee Member
Annual Contributor to the Barrie Learning Center for Dyslexic Children
